With a strong recent history of marking 4/20 with celebratory footwear, Adidas is back with arguably its most ambitious shoe to take on the theme to date.
Dubbed “Croptober,” these Adidas Campus 80s begin with a light brown tear-away outer layer that is intended to mimic rolling paper. Rich hairy green suede is revealed beneath, along with tie-dye piping, tongue lining, and insoles. The shoe sits atop a milky, semi-translucent sole.
In 2021, Adidas made a splash with the “Towelie” Campus 80s, inspired by everyone’s favorite weed-loving South Park character. The release was so successful that the brand restocked the shoe last year.
The “Croptober” Campus 80s are confirmed for an April 20 release (€100.00) at European shops like Foot District. Stateside launch information hasn’t been announced.
UPDATE (04/18): Adidas has confirmed that its 4/20-inspired “Crop” Campus 80s will be released on Thursday, April 20, at Adidas.com and at select Adidas retailers for $110.
