Participants, friends and family of the 2009 Future Sole Contest were gifted with a special make-up of the Air Jordan 1 that beared the Future Sole logo on the heel. Accented by black and Varsity Red, the off-white shoe was produced in a very limited run of 55 pairs. Even rarer than that Friends & Family release is this black-based sample version of the same shoe that recently surfaced on eBay.
The shoe sports a reflective black synthetic upper with patent leather Swoosh branding on the side panels. Varsity Red takes care of the laces and midsole, while white handles the Wings logo, inner liner and outsole. Once again displayed on the heel is the Future Sole logo.
Exactly how many pairs of these samples exist is not known at the moment, but the number is sure to be low. If you want to add this rare piece to your collection, dballaholic has them listed for bidding on eBay.
