After receiving two Blazer Mid collaborations last year, Italian imprint Slam Jam will reportedly link up with Nike once again to drop a new collaboration before the year's end.
According to sneaker info leaker py_rates on Twitter, the duo is rumored to be working on two colorways of the Dunk High. Although in-hand images of the shoes have yet to surface, the mock-up images provided by the aforementioned account suggests that each style is executed with a white-based color blocking while the "Pure Platinum" and "Black" makeups are distinguished by the Swoosh on the sides and outsole.
As of now, the Slam Jam x Nike Dunk Highs are rumored to release in Fall 2020 for a retail price of $120 each, but that info has not yet been confirmed by the brands. Check back soon to Sole Collector for updates.
UPDATE (09/21): The release for Slam Jam's Nike Dunk High collab has been rumored for several months now, but today, Nike finally made the project official. The Italian boutique modifies the classic silhouette with an upside-down "Nike" branding on the tongue that's paired with gummy Swooshes, while perforations are featured on the side panels and on the toe box. Adding to Slam Jam's playful reinterpretation of the Dunk is a translucent midsole.
“This Dunk expresses the values of simplicity and the attention to innovative details, which alongside our rebel attitude, define the Slam Jam DNA,” says the owner of Slam Jam, Luca Benini.
The Slam Jam x Nike Dunk High in the "Light Grey" colorway is releasing exclusively across Slam Jam stores and on SNKRS starting Oct. 3. The "Black" colorway drops on Oct. 30 at select retailers worldwide.
