After scooping up Kelly Oubre Jr. in late 2018 and kicking off a promising comeback to the court with the Eric Avar-designed All Star Pro BB model, Converse is continuing to make moves in the hoops world with the reported signing of Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green.

News of the brand's latest signing was broken by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, who reports that Green will become the brand's highest profile signing since Dwyane Wade. Before signing with Jordan Brand and later Li-Ning, Wade was Converse's top NBA athlete during a six-year deal that latest from 2003 to 2009.

Prior to his move to Converse, Green was a Nike athlete who regularly received his own PE colorways.

Specifics of Green's deal have yet to be announced, but the Warriors are in action tonight against the Denver Nuggets, so it's possible the big man could break out a pair of Converse before the day's over.

UPDATE (03/06): Converse has officially announced the signing of Draymond Green including unveiling its latest performance basketball model, the Converse G4. According to the brand, the shoe will incorporate two of Nike's leading technologies in the midsole including React cushioning in the heel and Air Zoom in the forefoot. The Converse G4 will release in both high and low-cut versions soon on Converse.com and select retailers.

"Converse is family. When you talk about the brand you’re talking about legends like Julius 'Dr. J' Erving, amongst other greats," says Green. "Forming a roster that lives up to those expectations is an exciting challenge, and if I get to conquer it with family? It doesn’t get any sweeter than that."
