Travis Scott's Nike SB Dunk Low is arguably the hottest commodity in sneakers right now, but not all of the news surrounding the collaboration is positive.
The Asheville Police Department is seeking information about a robbery that took place at the North Carolina boutique Sole82 on Feb. 25. According to the release issued by the department, one of the shop's employees was closing up when he was robbed at gunpoint by a male wearing black clothing and a mask. Officers attempted to locate the suspect by setting up a perimeter and utilizing a K9, but were unsuccessful. The suspect is believed to have taken three pairs of Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Lows, which the shop values at $2,400 a pair (pairs are currently selling on StockX for about $1,100 ).
A limited amount of pairs were released on Travis Scott's official website this past weekend, with a wider launch at select skate shops set for Feb. 29. The shoes retail for $150.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing and the Asheville PD encourages anybody with information to call 828-252-1110 or 828-255-5050.
