The sneaker and sportswear industry continues its shift into high fashion, with brands such as Nike holding their own showings during Fashion Week.
In addition to unveiling new innovations for the 2020 Olympic Games, Nike showcased several previously unseen collaborations with its fashion partners during its New York Fashion Week forum earlier today. Among them, an all-new silo from Virgil Abloh and his Off-White imprint.
The model, reminiscent of 90s skate footwear, mixes elements from past designs—most notably the P-6000's upper and tooling borrowed from the Nike Dunk, but with an exposed Nike Air bag. Familiar Off-White hits, such as the zip tie, orange tags, medial stamp and quoted phrasing appear as well.
As of now, Nike hasn't announced released details for its latest Off-White collab. Stick with Sole Collector for updates moving forward.
UPDATE (02/06): Via his Instagram story, Virgil Abloh has confirmed that last night's shoe is the rumored Off-White x Nike Air Rubber Dunk. The collab is expected to release this summer in three colorways including the "Black/White/Green Strike" makeup pictured here.
