New Balance has followed a strict release plan when it comes to the 1300JP model, with a launch only happening every five years. Time has come time for the latest re-issue of the style, and it arrives this month.

The 1300 model debuted in 1985 and was highly touted for its premium construction and unique grey color scheme, and it continues to be one of the brand's most expensive models every time it's released. Keeping it as close to the original version as possible, this "Made In USA" model features a blue mesh upper that's contrasted by grey suede, and sits atop a  Vibram-cushioned tooling. Check out a detailed look below.

The 2020 version of the New Balance 1300JP will release on Newbalance.com and at select New Balance stockists globally on Feb. 22 for a retail price of $300.
