Fans trying to cop the latest Nike and Jordan Brand products may have just gotten a little bit tougher. Effective as of this month, the Swoosh has begun strictly enforcing a policy that prevents select sneaker retailers from shipping both Nike and Jordan Brand products internationally.
Stores like Sneakersnstuff have confirmed this policy on its website with their Swoosh and Jumpman products now feature the text "Please note: From January 2020, Nike and Jordan products may no longer be delivered from Europe to your region."
A Nike spokesperson offered the following statement regarding the policy: “Retail partners are a key part of Nike’s Consumer Direct Offense. Similar to other premium brands, we have Terms & Conditions of Sale in place with individual retail partners to better serve consumers in each territory with the right assortment, based on local demand."
Back in October, it was also reported that Nike will reportedly stop the distribution of products to some of its independent retailers by 2021 in order to focus on a more direct-to-consumer approach.
