Today, Nike has announced the opening of a new athletic facility in Chicago's soon-to-be-opened Barack Obama Presidential Center.

The upcoming facility located within the center was made possible thanks to a $5 million contribution from the Nike Foundation, which will be opened to the public and will house various activities ranging from dance classes to pickup basketball. The building will occupy the city's Jackson Park and will also feature a museum, a forum for public meetings as well as a library in partnership with the Chicago Public Library, which will all surround the main plaza. There will also be sections for a two-acre playground, new gardens, as well as paths for jogging. Check out an early rendering of the latest U.S. presidential center above.

The upcoming Barack Obama Presidential Center is expected to open its doors sometime between 2020 and 2021.
