Though his basketball journey at the highest level has taken him from Texas to Seattle to Oklahoma City to Oakland to Brooklyn, Kevin Durant's roots are firmly planted in the DMV, where he was born and honed his craft before becoming a household name. Now, one of the preeminent players in his sport's history, Durant is using his status to provide an opportunity to a close friend and entrepreneur from back home.
Devonte Young, one of Durant's childhood friends and founder of streetwear brand Enspire, has announced a collaboration with Nike, adding his personal flavor to Durant's latest signature sneaker—the KD 12. The two shoes, black and white-based, feature paint splatter detailing and multicolor Enspire logo hits on the tongue, hang tag and outsole. Durant confirmed the collab on his Instagram account, thanking Young for the sneakers.
According to Young, the Enspire x KD 12s will be "dropping in a few weeks." Keep it locked for updates.
