After delivering two New Balance 990v3 collaborations in Joker-inspired color schemes in September 2018 and May of this year, streetwear brand Stray Rats is getting another crack at the silhouette, and this time it's getting some help from DC Comics to make things official.
Stray Rats founder Julian Consuegra teased the upcoming collab on Intstagram today. Like the brand's previous work on the 990v3, this colorway combines Joker-friendly black, green, and purple shades and sees the addition of orange shoelaces. A Joker graphic appears on the insole of the right shoe, while branding from all three entities is printed on the left.
It's worth noting that this collab appears to be tied to the Batman villain The Joker and is not explicitly connected to the 2019 film Joker.
According to Consuegra's post, this collab is set to drop next month, although an exact date has not been announced.
