Supreme and Nike might have just released their Fall/Winter 2018 capsule of apparel a few weeks ago, but news has already surfaced regarding a Spring/Summer 2019 project. According to @py_rates on Twitter, the New York-born streetwear brand will be dropping two pairs of the Air Max 95 Lux.
While images of the pair have yet to surface, the drop will reportedly include "Hyper Cobalt/Black" and "University Gold/Black" options to choose between. The "Lux" designation could also mean that Supreme will be outfitting the 1995 runner in premium materials. Past renditions of the 95 "Lux" have utilized a redesigned upper made with high quality leather, but that does not guarantee that these pairs will include the same features. Back in 2016, the brand did something similar by upgrading the Air Max 98 with patent leather and snakeskin.
UPDATE (03/28): According to @pyleaks, Supreme's rumored Nike Air Max 95 collaboration will include Swarovski. Black, red, and blue-based colorways will feature panels covered in Swarovski crystals. The trio is currently rumored for a June 2019 release with each Air Max 95 Lux retailing at $500. Stay tuned as more details become available regarding this premium collaboration.
UPDATE (09/30): Now that the rumored summer release date has come and gone, Drake has shared the first look at Supreme's upcoming Nike Air Max 95 collab that will include an all-black colorway with Supreme's signature branding printed on the medial side. The pair doesn't appear to utilize Swarovski-covered panels on the upper as previously rumored, but looks similar to the Italian leather Air Max 95 Lux from the early 2000s. Official release info surrounding the Supreme x Nike Air Max 95s are currently unknown.
UPDATE (11/04): Supreme has confirmed that its highly anticipated Nike Air Max 95 Lux collection will be dropping this week. The brand's latest offering will arrive in three distinct colorways in blue, red, and black with the upper crafted in premium Italian leather. Additional details include Supreme branding lasered onto the sides along with a metal hangtag inspired by the geography of Italy attached to each shoe. The trio will be available on Nov. 7 exclusively at Supreme New York, Brooklyn, San Francisco, London, Paris and on its website with a Japan release happening on Nov. 9. Each pair will retail for $500 each.
