Back in February, the Italian boutique Slam Jam celebrated its 30th birthday by dropping a retro-inspired Nike Blazer Mid and now, the collaboration is expected to receive a followup after a brand new colorway has surfaced.
This latest rendition keeps the rather simple design of its predecessor with a special vintage-inspired ‘77 style of the model, which is now executed in a stealthy black canvas-based upper. The shoe's standout feature is its flipped white-colored Swoosh on the medial side. Suede overlays are used at the eyelets and toe box while the words 'CLASS' and '1977' are printed on the heel tabs that serve as a nod to the shoe’s legacy. Check out a closer look below.
An official release date surrounding Slam Jam's upcoming Nike Blazer Mid has yet to be announced by the brands but stick with Sole Collector for updates.
UPDATE (11/06): Slam Jam has confirmed the launch details for its upcoming black "Class 1977" Blazer. 1977 pairs of the sneakers will be released with special packaging exclusively at Slam Jam along with a limited run on Nike's UK SNEAKRS site. A raffle for the shoes will open this Saturday, Nov. 9 and close Nov. 28 followed by the formal launch on Black Friday, Nov. 29.
