Today, Adidas has officially unveiled Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard's latest signature basketball sneaker—the Dame 6.

The upper is built with a webbed lacing system for fit and lateral support that's paired with a Lightstrike midsole—a first for Dame's line—which is a cushioning  platform created to enhance on-court responsiveness with minimal weight. Additional features include a translucent outsole boasting a new traction pattern as well as a dynamic heel with rounded edges that have been revamped for better traction and multidirectional movements.

“Early in the design process, the many sides of Dame’s personality emerged during our conversations with Dame – he’s a leader, a family man, a businessman and more, but when he hits the court, a different side comes out,” says Jimi Taylor, Senior Footwear Designer for Adidas' basketball division. “The silhouette embodies Dame’s multi-dimensional persona from both sides of the shoe. The outside speaks to Dame’s focus, while the interior peels back the layers to showcase the inner workings of the shoe and celebrates Dame’s ruthless mindset on the court.”

Similar to its predecessor, the model will release in a variety of energetic styles including its debut "Ruthless" colorway inspired by Lillard's on-court tenacity and the "Hecklers” pack that includes a bevy of team-inspired colors.

Additional styles will soon to follow as the season progresses, all available for $110 at Adidas.com and select Adidas retailers.
