In the latest episode “Sneaker Shopping,” Houston Rocket P.J. Tucker returned to Flight Club in New York with Joe La Puma for another round of pickups.

En route to breaking the show’s spending record, La Puma inquired about Tucker’s outfit from Kith’s Sept. 2019 fashion show, in which he was spotted wearing the elusive “Cheetah” Air Yeezy 2s, rumored to be limited to just three pairs in existence.

When asked by La Puma on how he got his hands on the rare sneakers, Tucker would only reveal that it was through a close friend. “A regular dude [that] no one would ever know. He hit me and I thought he was lying.” After seeing pictures as proof Tucker didn’t hesitate in saying “I’ll be there, just hold ‘em, don’t show nobody else.”

The rare samples, which incorporate the “Cheetah” colorway seen in the Christmas edition of the Nike Kobe 7, were first spotted back in 2012. The pair materialized following a series Nike ad campaigns for Bryant that both featured appearances by Kanye West. A Bryant-inspired colorway of the original Air Yeezy had previously been rumored, but never came to be.
