Just when you thought the SpongeBob x Nike Kyrie 5 Collection had seen its end, the parties link up again for the most ambitious release of the series to date.
Next up is a colorway inspired by SpongeBob's home—the famous pineapple under the sea. Dubbed "Pinneapple House," the shoes feature an all-over pineapple graphic print, lace covers styled like pineapple leaves, Swooshes symbolic of windows with a view of the sea and nautical wheel logos on the heel. Official Nickelodeon branding adorns the lace covers and SpongeBob graphics can be seen along the insoles.
Initially rumored for an Oct. 1 launch, the "Pineapple House" Kyrie 5 recently popped up on the Foot Locker app with an Oct. 24 release date. We'll keep you updated on the official drop details in the coming weeks.
UPDATE (10/16): Nike has confirmed that the "Pineapple House" Kyrie 5 will be released Oct. 24 an will be worn by Kyrie Irving for the Brooklyn Nets' regular season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves the night prior.
