With New York City Comic-Con (NYCC) taking this weekend, among the many things that comic book fans can look forward to includes a new Foot Locker and Adidas collab that celebrates the 80th anniversary of Marvel comics.

Announced today, the brands tapped comics legend and former Marvel editor-in-chief, Joe Quesada, to design two new iterations of the Three Stripes' Speedfactory AM4 dubbed Marvel 80 Vol. 1 and Marvel 80 Vol. 2. The first design keeps it simple with a navy-based Primeknit upper featuring Marvel's branding printed on the toe while Vol. 2 combines a multitude of Marvel characters covering the knitted material.

“Some of the true joys of my career at Marvel are all the unique opportunities that have come my way, things that I could never have anticipated being a part of like creating two different, exclusive sneaker designs for Adidas and Foot Locker celebrating Marvel’s 80th anniversary. I had such a blast designing them and I hope Marvel and Adidas fans have as much fun wearing them,” says Quesada.

The Foot Locker x Marvel x Adidas AM4 "80th Anniversary" will debut exclusively at Foot Locker’s NYC Herald Square location on Oct. 4 and will release again at footlocker.com on October 18th. Retail pricing is set at $150 each.
