James Whitner dubbed A Ma Maniére's new Nike Air Force 1 collaboration "Hand Wash Cold" to represent the parallel between taking care of your community the same way one treat luxury goods.
“The shoe tells a story of giving and giving back," Whitner told Nike. “Everything luxury should be taken care of, and lives in communities are delicate.”
High and Low versions of the model have been given the luxury update, which includes soft tumbled leather and a suede wrap to the midsole. Both shoes are also individually numbered for "transparency and collectablilty" according to Whitner.
The "Hand Wash Cold" Air Force 1 High (5914 pairs) and Low (5269 pairs) will release on Dec. 7 through all A Ma Maniére locations and SNKRS in North America. Additionally, the Low will launch in the US and Canada at Social Status, APB, Concepts, Bodega, Creme, Shoe Gallery, UNKNWN, Trophy Room, Politics, Xhibition, Corporate, Oneness, Rooted, Sole Classics, Undefeated, Bait, Darkside Initiative, Feature, Likelihood, Livestock, Xclucity and Haven.
UPDATE (11/28): Along with the already revealed Nike Air Force 1 styles for A Ma Maniére's upcoming "Hand Wash Cold" collab, an official look at a third colorway has surfaced. Similar to its counterparts, the latest iteration will be releasing in limited quantities with a total of 989 pairs available but the exact release info has yet to be announced.
