New York City-based apparel label Engineered Garments is bringing its patchwork aesthetic onto the New Balance 990v5 with a brand new collection dropping this weekend.

The Engineered Garments x New Balance 990v5 will be available in three monochromatic colorways: navy, black, and grey. The upper is constructed with different leathers on each portion of the shoe’s overlays including smooth leather, suede, as well as premium croc and lizard-embossed nubuck are used to create a mismatched look between the left and right shoe. Each pair is accompanied by matching midsoles to complete the look.

This collaboration is the latest special edition 990v5 to drop following the updated model's introduction in April. Other notable iterations include Size's pop art-inspired colorway, DTLR's bowling-themed "Fast Lane" project, and YCMC's just-released "Loyalty" collab.

A limited run of the Engineered Garments x New Balance 990v5s will be available tomorrow at select retailers for $230.
