Since 2008, Nike has provided hoopers with an annual installment to the Hyperdunk line. After a decade, the line will reportedly be getting a facelift in the near future with the arrival of the AlphaDunk.

This brand new performance basketball model is said to introduce Air Knit, a lightweight upper material similar in appearance to the Battleknit uppers used on the past two pairs in LeBron James' signature line. Other design elements include a suede heel panel, pull tab, large Swoosh wrapping the heel, and visible Zoom Air in the forefoot. Retro "Flight" branding can also be seen on the heel stitched in white.

The initial colorway that has surfaced of the AlphaDunk sports a black upper, royal blue detailing, a white midsole, and translucent traction. A release date and pricing for Nike's new performance basketball model have yet to be revealed, but check out a first look at the pair, courtesy of @US_11 on Twitter, below.

UPDATE (08/05): Official images have surfaced of the "Pure Magic" Nike AlphaDunk. The black and blue colorway is said to be inspired by Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon's memorable performance in the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Expect the pair to release at select retailers in the near future for $170.
