It was just last September that DJ Khaled unveiled his latest Air Jordans, and now the multifaceted entertainer is debuting another collaboration, but it's not his usual footwear.
This time around, Khaled has gotten his hands on an upcoming Concepts x Versace Chain Reaction sneaker before anyone else. Designed by Yeezy alum and current Versace men's footwear director Salehe Bembury, the Chain Reaction was something of an unofficial collaboration with 2 Chainz. Now, as Versace rolls out updates and new models, it looks as though the original Chain Reaction sneaker will continue to drop in new colorways, including this collab with the Boston boutique.
Khaled revealed the green, palm tree-printed sneakers on his Instagram story, adding that the colorway was inspired by Jennifer Lopez's Versace dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards. Additional detailed images were provided by image consultant Julia Lang on her personal Instagram as well.
No launch date for the collaboration was provided, but the clip was re-shared by Concepts' Deon Point, which suggests that a release is in the works. Check back soon for updates.
UPDATE (07/12): Concepts has confirmed that the J. Lo-inspired Chain Reaction collaboration will drop next Friday, July 19.
UPDATE (07/15): Detailed images of the Concepts x Versace Chain Reaction have surfaced, courtesy of Concepts. It will release exclusively at Concepts Boston, Concepts New York, and the boutique's online store in men's and women's sizing on Friday, July 19 for $1,075.
