For Adidas skateboarding’s next collaborative endeavor, it is teaming up with legendary hip-hop group, the Beastie Boys. In an effort to celebrate the group’s influence on skate, punk, hip-hop, and graffiti culture, the design draws inspiration from the Golden Era of ‘90s skateboarding.
Dressed in a vegan canvas upper, the color scheme of this Adidas Americna is kept simple with a combination of off-white and light grey, with a gum sole. It also features a jersey-style liner and a matching Three Stripes midfoot hit. Finishing details include a Beastie Boys logo on the tongue and sockliner designed by Eric Haze.
Pairs of the Americana are slated to release on July 25th in accordance with the 30th anniversary of Paul’s Boutique at select North American skate retailers.
