First introduced last December, Donovan Mitchell's debut signature sneaker is finally ready for retail.
The Adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 (Determination Over Negativity) will launch in a Spider-Man-inspired colorway, referencing Mitchell's "Spida" nickname and love of comic books. Blue and red mesh are featured on the upper of the low-top, with contrasting hits of white filling 'webbing' and various branding hits. Marvel branding on the insoles marks an official collaboration with the studio.
UPDATE (06/26): Adidas has officially unveiled Donovan Mitchell's D.O.N. Issue #1 (Determination Over Negativity). Along with the previously-previewed "Amazing Spider-Man" colorway, the Three Stripes has also provided a look at three other pairs inspired by Peter Parker's various suits: Symbiote Spider-Man (July 18), Stealth Spider-Man (Aug. 1), and Iron Spider (Aug. 31).
Performance features include a propulsion clip on the side panel for lateral support, wide outsole for stability, and Bounce cushioning in the midsole.
"Determination Over Negativity is a belief that anything is possible no matter who you are or where you come from," Mitchell said in an official press release. "I wanted this sneaker to be a symbol of that – for the kid who believes they can do anything."
The "Amazing Spider-Man" Adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 hits adidas.com on July 1 before getting a wider launch on July 5. Pairs will retailer at $100.
