Although Virgil Abloh's output with Nike has slowed down this year, the Off-White designer is gearing up for a big summer that will include an Air Force 1 release in June tied to his Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago exhibit. Abloh also has an upcoming "Athlete in Progress" women's collection coming soon, but it looks like there's even more in the works.

Taking to his Instagram story, Abloh shared images of a new installation at the Illinois Institute of Technology's S.R. Crown Hall. The structure features clear windows which appear to be filled with colorful socks. Outside, the windows are printed with details of an upcoming NikeLab Chicago showcase by Abloh. The event, dubbed the Re-Creation Center, will be open to the community this Friday, May 31. Although details are limited, the print appears to read "power plant of a different kind."

Stay tuned as more information is made available in the coming days.

UPDATE (05/29): Virgil Abloh shared a video reveal of the Re-creation Center, touting it as a "place to teach and inspire the next generation of sneaker designers, engage the local community as well as a depot to recycle used sneakers.⁣" Abloh confirmed that the space will open at 673 N Michigan Ave this Friday.
