Last year, rumors began to surface that the fan-favorite Nike Zoom Kobe 4 was expected to be reintroduced as a "Protro" model, and slated to drop in February. Now, it looks like the reintroduction of Kobe Bryant's fourth signature model may be part of yet another big project with L.A.-based retailer Undefeated.
According to @soleheatonfeet on Twitter, three colorways of the collaboration are expected to release sometime in April. The range will include "Black/Black/Multi-Color," "Sail/Sail/Multi-Color," and "Team Orange/Team Orange/Multi-Color" iterations. As of now, images of the collab are unavailable.
Back in February 2018, Undefeated collaborated on the Nike Kobe 1 Protro, which included a handful of camo colorways. The pairs were made available at the Nike Makers HQ in Los Angeles.
UPDATE (05/05): In the midst of the NBA Playoffs, Houston Rockets' forward P.J. Tucker shows off a never-before-seen orange colorway of the Undefeated x Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro. The Undefeated x Nike Kobe 4 Protro collab is rumored to launch this August. Tucker also shouted out Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker in his post, a possible indication of a PE lineup similar to the Undefeated x Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro.
UPDATE (04/19): DeMar DeRozan debuted one of the upcoming colorways of the Undefeated x Nike Kobe 4 Protro during Game 3 of the San Antonio Spurs' first round playoff series against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.
The colorway features a patent leather teal upper, bright orange detailing, and a black Swoosh that perfectly matches the franchise's iconic throwback jerseys from the '90s. According to @J23app, the Undefeated x Nike Kobe 4 Protro collection is rumored to release in August 2019.
