Today is May 4th, which means most of you are probably in full cosplay in celebration of Star Wars Day. Now 40 years running, the unofficial, yet official holiday was originally christened by author Alan Arnold while he was chronicling the making of The Empire Strikes Back for Lucasfilm in 1979. "May the 4th Be With You" is a pun that plays on "May the Force Be With You," an expression of good luck or good will used in Star Wars films.
