On last night's episode of HBO's The Shop, LeBron James and Maverick Carter were joined by guests Travis Scott, Seth Rogen, Don Cheadle, Pharrell Williams, Jimmy Iovine and Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball, the latter making some of his first public comments about his recent parting with Big Baller Brand co-founder, family friend and former business manager Alan Foster. The news broke in March, when it was reported that Ball severed ties with Foster after discovering that more than $1.5 million was missing from his personal and business accounts.

"That's why I covered the BBB up on my arm. Because like, when I saw that, I saw him and that sh*t made me so, like I was tight," said Ball. "Like when we looked at the transactions, the sh*t didn't start happening until my mom got sick. Because she took care of all the money sh*t. So that's what really hurt me. That sh*t hurt me. I don't even know what I'd do if I seen him right now. I ain't seen him."

Ball's mother Tina oversaw the family's finances until she suffered a stroke in Feb. 2017. Foster is reportedly being investigated by the FBI for fraud related to his dealings with the Ball family.

Continuing to take control of his career, Ball parted ways with agent Harrison Gaines and hired CAA to represent him last month. He told The Shop why it's important to be in the driver's seat at this point.

"I think when my daughter was born, that's what really kinda clicked," said Ball. "Like yo, you gotta start taking control. Because now I'm not just doing sh*t for me. Not for my my mom and my dad, who I love. But I gotta look out for a little one that's mine. That I brought into the world."
