The TEDxPortland event returns to the City of Roses this weekend. To commemorate its latest series of TEDx Talks, as it has done in years past, the organization has designed a special Nike sneaker. This year it is the Air Trainer 1.
This pair stays true to the OG look of the model with a white perforated leather upper, grey suede overlays, and black leather wrapping the heel and forefoot. Red accents matching TEDx's signature branding color the Swoosh, topmost eyelets, various branding hits, and outsole. Special details include TEDxPortland logos on each tongue tag, "SPREAD" and "IDEAS" stitched in black on the lateral and medial ankle collars, dots stamped on the heel inspired by the theme of "connecting the dots," and special insoles.
Pairs of this limited Air Trainer 1 will be gifted to speakers, performers, and volunteers at this weekend's event. A select number of pairs will also be available for attendees to purchase with the proceeds going toward attendee ticket scholarships for the tenth TEDxPortland in 2020.
The ninth annual TEDxPortland conference takes place this Saturday, April 27 at the Keller Auditorium in Portland. Check out more information on this year's speakers and theme here.
