After teasing a Nike React Vapor Street Flyknit last month, Alyx designer and recent Swoosh collaborator Matthew M. Williams is showing off what he's calling his first Nike sneaker.

The design appeared for the first time at Paris Fashion Week in colors including the triple-black variation shared by Williams. With a rugged, boot-like profile, the shoe is affixed with straps and an exaggerated Vibram sole. Elsewhere, the medial side's leather collar and zipper are reminiscent of Acronym's Air Presto collabs.

According to Highsnobiety, this sneaker is known as the S19-Nike-MMW, and it will also come in a snakeskin-adorned white colorway. Release details are to be determined.

UPDATE (06/06): Nike has revealed that both variations of the Matthew M. Williams x Nike Free TR 3 SP will be releasing exclusively at Virgil Abloh's NikeLab Chicago Re-Creation Center on June 8. The collab will receive a global launch on June 27.

"This shoe embodies the multi-functionality of our modern urban existence," says Williams in an official press release. "We are proud to have collaborated with Vibram on the detachable crampon rubber sole, which allows for the shoe to be used as a minimal trainer inside of a gym or as a resilient boot on city streets or park trails."

It has also been confirmed that the high-cut design is a women's silhouette inspired by the Free TR Flyknit 3, while the mid-cut model with a medial zipper at the collar is a men's option that re-imagined the Free Train 3.

UPDATE (05/30): Following images surfacing of the upcoming Matthew M. Williams x Nike Free TR 3 SP, the designer took to Instagram to reveal a detailed look at another upcoming silhouette from his collaborative work with the Swoosh. This pair appears almost identical, but takes on a mid-top build. It also forgoes the Swoosh branding on the ankle collar for a zipper on the medial portion. It will be releasing in a "Light Bone" colorway along with a black option highlighted by a removable red Vibram outsole. Take a closer look below.

UPDATE (05/29): Detailed images of Matthew M. Williams' upcoming Nike collaboration have surfaced in "Black" and "Light Bone" colorways. The Free TR 3 SP features an elastic ankle collar almost identical to a Nike crew sock. Translucent overlays add some durability to the upper, which sits atop a flexible Free midsole. The highlight of the Alyx creative director's design is its removable Vibram outsole. Branding can be seen in the form of a Swoosh on the lateral ankle, larger Swoosh stamped on the medial side, and co-branded leather insoles. A release date and pricing still have yet to be revealed.
