For its latest lifestyle release, PUMA takes a dip into its archives to bring back a basketball silhouette from the late '80s, the Palace Guard OG.

The pair stays true to the original with a perforated white leather upper, tonal cloth wrapping the heel, and a throwback basketball logo stamped on each tongue. Additional PUMA branding is also present at the heel. Other details include an extra puffy tongue, padded sock liner, Trinomic technology in the heel, and a cream-colored midsole that adds to the retro aesthetic.

Like the original, this Palace Guard OG is accented with a blue formstripe, as well as red detailing on the midsole and top eyelets. The colors are a nod to the Detroit Pistons. Hall of Fame point guard Isiah Thomas famously rocked the Palace Guard for the "Bad Boy" era Pistons squad that captured back-to-back NBA championships in 1989 and 1990. The name is a play on the Motor City's famous arena, The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Customers can purchase the PUMA Palace Guard OG on puma.com and other select retailers for $90. Check out detailed images of the pair below.
