Berlin's Overkill is following up its "I Can If I Want" Adidas ZX 10000C collaboration with another take on the retro-inspired model inspired by old school gaming consoles.
The "Game Overkill" features a grey mesh and suede upper akin to the color of many gaming systems in the '90s. More specifically, the pair is a nod to the original Game Boy handheld. Colorful detailing like purple Three Stripes to represent the buttons, royal blue overlays on the side panel and heel to mimic the branding on the front, and a green liner resembling the screen drive home the overall theme. Bright red hits on the tongue give an additional pop to the toned-down base. Black co-branding stamped on the heel and tongue tags complete the collaborative design.
Overkill will exclusively release the "Game Overkill" Adidas ZX 10000C in-store on April 6 for €160 (app. $180). Remaining pairs will be available at overkillshop.com. Take a closer look at the nostalgic project below.
