Yesterday, Nike held its Q3 earnings call for fiscal year 2019. Along with announcing the debut of Giannis Antetokounmpo's anticipated first signature sneaker, CEO Mark Parker also gave some updates about the future of Nike's auto-lacing Adapt technology.

Nike's most recent auto-lacing release took place during NBA All Star weekend this past February when the Adapt BB performance basketball silhouette received a wide launch. The futuristic pair would go on to sell out.

"Building off the successful adaptive basketball launch this quarter, we’ll expand the platform into new categories and embed the Adapt technology even further into our digital eco-system," Parker said.

Parker did not give much more information regarding what specific categories and silhouettes would be utilizing Adapt technology in the future, but this sentiment from the Nike CEO definitely means that the technology will become more commonplace in the brand's product lineup in the future.
