On Apr. 12, Laika will roll out its next animated film, Missing Link. The stop-motion comedy tells the story of Mr. Link, an 8-foot tall, 630-pound bigfoot who goes by the name Susan. With the help of an investigator named Mr. Lionel Frost, Link sets out to find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La.

Owned by Nike co-founder Phil Knight and ran by his son Travis, Laika will once again be the beneficiary of an official sneaker collaboration to coincide with its feature film. The brand has released a teaser clip featuring athletes such as Mike Trout, Simone Biles, Ndamukong Suh and Sue Bird, along with designer Tinker Hatfield, in which a plaid and corduroy-laden Nike Air Max 1 inspired by the film is previewed. Dubbed the "Air Susan," the retro runner is styled after the bigfoot's signature look.

Since being founded in 2005, Laika has worked with Nike on sneakers for each of its feature films—Dunks for Caroline in 2009; Foamposites and Air Raids for ParaNorman in 2012; Roshe Run Mids for Boxtrolls in 2014 and Air Jordan 15s for Kubo and the Two Strings in 2016.

While full images of the shoe have not yet been revealed, the video ends with an indication that the full reveal will take place on Wednesday, March 6.
