Asics is releasing a brand new collaboration inspired by the classic '80s animated series, G.I. Joe. Two pairs of the Gel-Lyte III will be dressed in colorways to represent the rivalry between the characters Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.
The "Snake Eyes" pair sports a black leather upper with mesh panels and reflective accents. Red and white hits are also sprinkled across the upper. Snake Eyes illustrations can be seen on the insole and packaging. Other special details include a speckled midsole, translucent outsole, and red character symbol emblazoned on the heel.
Storm Shadow's pair is outfitted in a white upper with similar red detailing. An all-over pattern of grey symbols replaces the mesh netting seen on the "Snake Eyes" option. Storm Shadow artwork covers the insole and packaging. A red Cobra symbol stamped on each heel completes the nostalgic design. Both outsoles act as a window to an image of Zartan, a key figure in the rivalry between both characters.
Along with both pairs of sneakers, G.I. Joe-inspired New Era caps, apparel, and Hex utility bag will also be up for grabs. The entire collection is available now at footlocker.com and select Foot Locker stores across the country. Each pair is priced at $120.
