Adidas Consortium is dropping more in-house designs in the coming weeks. The ZX4000 4D and ZX500 RM will be showcased this time around with each model sporting its own unique colorway inspired by modern and traditional sneaker craftsmanship, respectively.
The ZX4000 4D represents automated mechanical sneaker production with its main component being its 4D-printed midsole. A black mesh upper is accented by light and dark grey suede overlays, a bright red tongue, green tongue tag, and aero green midsole. Signature Three Stripes branding is achieved using tonal welded overlays on each side panel.
For the ZX500 RM, Adidas opted to use earthier tones to represent a more old school, handmade method of sneaker production. A brown mesh and suede upper is accented by tan suede Three Stripes, a tan leather heel tab, infrared tongue tag, and faint green hits on the midsole and eyelets. A leather liner adds a more premium feel to this retro-inspired low-top. This pair sits atop a white Boost midsole.
Look for both of these colorways to hit select Adidas Consortium accounts on March 9.Â
