Did Virgil Abloh Just Debut an Off-White x Bape Bapesta?

Virgil Abloh was spotted today at the Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2019 runway show in Pairs wearing a potential Off-White x Bape Bapesta collaboration.

Today, Virgil Abloh presented his second collection as the men's artistic director for Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week. While the city street-inspired runway and glow-in-the-dark leather goods were standout aspects of the French fashion house's Fall/Winter 2019 range, another noteworthy item had nothing to do with LV at all. Abloh was seen rocking a never-before-seen pair of Bapestas when he came out to close the show.

The premium pair featured a black crocodile skin upper with white leather Bapesta logos. Other details like a white branding stamp on the lateral side panel similar to the one used across Abloh's "The Ten" range with Nike and "SHOELACES" written in black on white laces could signify that this is a future Off-White x Bape project. It's also notable that the colorway comes in black/white, a combination Abloh has recently said he's "visually obsessed" with.

It's possible that this is simply a one-of-one pair made especially for the massively popular designer, but more details should be known soon. Stay tuned as more information becomes available on this potential Off-White x Bape collaboration. In the meantime, check out some on-foot photos below.
