Charlotte Hornets Colors Cover This Air Max 98

A brand new colorway of the Nike Air Max 98 has surfaced. It features the team colors of the Charlotte Hornets and basketball leather detailing.

Nike's latest iteration of the popular Air Max 98 seems to take inspiration from the Charlotte Hornets. 

The 1998 runner sports a white leather upper, teal tumbled leather on the side panel, and purple nubuck wrapping the mud guard. Teal and purple are also used to color areas like laces, eyelets, Air bubble, and outsole. A light brown piping splits the upper in half, while a small basketball leather overlay on the toe acts as a nice detail to complete the hoops theme. 

Despite most of the pairs that have surfaced from Nike's 2019 NBA All-Star weekend utilizing a racing theme as a nod to the Motor Speedway located in this year's host state, it would not be surprising to see these Air Max 98s that represent Charlotte's NBA franchise also make their way to retailers next month to celebrate the festivities.
