An Iridescent Upper Covers This Nike Air Max 97

A brand new variation of the Nike Air Max 97 is releasing in the near future with an iridescent, Foamposite-like upper dubbed the Air Max 97 LX.

A brand new version of the fan-favorite Nike Air Max 97 has surfaced dubbed the Air Max 97 LX. 

This pair replaces the mesh upper usually seen on the 1997 running silhouette with a Foamposite-esque iridescent shell. The glossy material wraps the entire upper, while black leather is used on the mud guard. A blue mid panel and yellow branding hits complete the design. Yellow is also used on the Air bubble and outsole. The overall color scheme is vaguely similar to Skepta's Air Tuned Max-inspired Nike collaboration that dropped back in 2017.

The Nike Air Max 97 LX is currently expected to hit select Nike retailers on Feb. 7 for $170. Check out official images of the colorway below.
