Paul George's "Nasa" PG 3 isn't the only Nike sneaker getting the intergalactic treatment in 2019. According to trusted leaker @py_rates, the Air Max 90 will also be donning a space theme in the coming months.Â
Dubbed the "Mars Landing" colorway, this pair covers the iconic '90s runner in a graphic resembling the surface of the fourth planet from the Sun. The seamless upper is accented by metallic silver tags on each tongue, bright orange laces, and sits atop a black speckled midsole.
This is not the first time Nike has used the space theme on the Air Max 90. Back in 2014, they used a similar design on the "Moon Landing" Air Max Lunar90 SP. The updated take on the model featured a reflective upper blanketed in Moon imagery and sat on a Lunarlon midsole.Â
The "Mars Landing" Nike Air Max 90 is currently slated to hit retailers on March 16.
UPDATE (03/09): Official images of the "Mars Landing" Nike Air Max 90 have surfaced. According to @J23app, the special colorway is slated to drop on March 16 and will release in toddler and preschool sizing as well.
