An unexpected Nike hybrid blending the upper and translucent sole of the Air Foamposite One with a performance tennis model has surfaced.

The mysterious sneaker uses a modified version of the "Royal" Air Foamposite One's upper including its signature molded shell, mini Swoosh branding, nubuck eyestay, and more. However, the traditionally mid-cut model has been revamped into a low-top silhouette and also features the addition of the midsole from the Air Zoom Vapor X—a sneaker previously worn by the likes of Roger Federer.

Should this pair release, it wouldn't be the first time a retro Nike model inspired a tennis shoe. Previous examples include the Vapor RF x Air Max 95 and the numerous Zoom Vapor RF x Air Jordan 3s. Further details for the Air Foamposite One x Air Zoom Vapor X are currently unknown.
