A 17-year old in Nashua, New Hampshire was allegedly stabbed over his Yeezy sneakers and left seriously injured, according to local authorities.

Nashua's Patch site reports that Dequan Hagen, 19,  met up with the younger teen on Jan. 3 to purchase a pair of Adidas Yeezys. Rather than pay, Hagen reportedly stabbed the 17-year old in the stomach and fled the scene in his car. He has since turned himself in. The article did not state which specific pair of Adidas Yeezys was being exchanged.

Hagen has been charged with armed robbery, home invasion, and two counts of assault and property destruction. He remains in jail without bail. His next court appearance is slated for Feb. 11.

Following the incident, local Tyngsborough Police Chief Richard Howe relayed that the local police station should be used as a designated meetup location for transactions to avoid similar incidents in the future. Local law enforcement around the country has adopted similar practices to curb the amount of crimes related to online transactions for expensive items like sneakers.
