It looks like there won't be any escaping the Adidas versus Nike debate in 2019. Lil Wayne recently appeared on rum company Bumbu's "The Bumbu Room" where he spoke on his alliegiance in the competition between the Three Stripes and the Swoosh.

Weezy says he's been a Nike fan since he was young. "I'm rocking with Nike, I've been rocking with Nike since a kid," The Carter 5 rapper said. "Only because the check was a little harder to draw in class, when you was a kid. So I mean, if you're about to draw some shoes and you draw some shoes with Three Stripes on them, that's cool. And you know, that's cool, the girls like that, that, 'oh, he drew some shells [Superstars],' but if you come back with that Nike, and you draw that Nike, that same girl is going to want you to draw that on her folder. The cover of her folder for class, that whole year."

Despite his affinity for the Swoosh, Wayne's most notable sneaker collaboration to date is his work with Supra, which produced models such as the Spectre and the Yeezy-esque Chimera. And although he has never had his own Nike collab, he and Drake did receive exclusive "Drake vs. Lil Wayne" Air Jordan 3s during their 2014 tour.
