Portland Trail Blazers' star point guard Damian Lillard will be adding a brand new model to his extensive signature line with the unveiling of the Adidas Dame 5, set to release next week. Inspired by some of Lillard's favorite past times both on and off the court, each colorway will piece together to create a unique representation of who Dame is as a person.
The Dame 5 will debut on Feb. 1 in three iterations dubbed the "People's Champ," "All Skate" and "YKWTII" (You Know What Time It Is). The first two colorways are inspired by some of Dame's favorite off-court activities, including boxing and skateboarding, while the last pays homage to his clutch scoring ability and infamous watch celebration after hitting big shots. The next batch of colorways launches throughout Spring 2019 includes Suga Gee (Mar. 1), DameGoose (Apr. 5) and La Heem, The Dream (May 3).
As for performance, the latest model will feature a lightweight mesh upper with lateral banking barriers on the sides for on-court stability, a full-length Bounce cushioning system in the midsole and a zonal herringbone traction pattern for enhanced grip.
The Adidas Dame 5 will release beginning on Feb. 1 for $115 at adidas.com and at select Adidas retailers. Expect additional colorways dropping throughout 2019.
