One of Nike's Penny Hardaway hybrid models, the Zoom Rookie, is making an unexpected return in its popular "Glow in the Dark" colorway to close out 2018.
The Nike Zoom Rookie originally debuted at retailers in 2011. It combines elements from various pairs across the former Orlando Magic superstar's memorable signature line like the Air Flight One, Air Go LWP and fan-favorite Air Foamposite One.
This particular pair features a black mesh bootie, tonal nubuck overlays, smoky translucent outsole, and glow-in-the-dark Foamposite panels wrapping the toe and heel. Branding comes in the form of a white Penny logo stitched on the tongue, mini Swoosh on the toe, and Flight logo on the heel pull tab. The sneakers showcase their standout feature when placed in the dark—its luminous white panels transform into a glowing green.
According to @zsneakerheadz on Instagram, the "Glow in the Dark" Nike Zoom Rookie will be releasing at select retailers on Dec. 14 for $210.
