One of the most beloved basketball players of all-time, Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway continues to give back to the game, now doing so as head coach of the Memphis Tigers. Hardaway's presence on the sidelines has already resulted in big wins, top-ranked recruits and now exclusive sneakers from his team at Nike.
Earlier today, Hardaway unveiled team and staff exclusive pairs of his Nike Air Foamposite One sneaker for his alma mater. The blue-based sneakers feature bold tiger stripes in black throughout the upper, white laces and a black outsole. The shoes come with a wooden box bearing engraving inspired by Penny's personal motto, 'Ballin' Is What I Was Born to Do.'
These aren't available to the public at the moment, but it's possible that Nike will consider a launch in the future.
