Nike is dropping a new Air Max model exclusively for the ladies—the Air Max Dia SE.
The silhouette's most notable feature is its translucent upper, which follows the trend made popular this year by models like the Zoom Fly SP and React Element 87. The Air Max Dia even slightly resembles the aforementioned Zoom Fly SP with a similar overall shape and chunky midsole. Other details include suede and synthetic overlays, pull tabs on the tongue and heel, and thick Air Max units in each heel. Branding is kept to a minimum with miniature Swooshes on the toe and ankle area, as well as Air Max branding on each bubble.
Initial images provide a look at two different colorways. One features a white translucent upper with black and pink accents. The other opts for a white upper, burgundy and blue details, and a bright yellow Air bag.
An official release date and pricing have yet to be revealed for the WMNS Nike Air Max Dia SE. In the meantime, check out detailed shots of both pairs below.
UPDATE (12/11): Nike has officially unveiled its new women's model, the Air Max Dia. The sleek low-top design features a translucent Nexkin upper, stacked midsole for added lift, giant Air Max unit in the heel, and a four-dot constellation on each heel to represent the designers who crafted the shoe. The Nike Air Max Dia will debut in three colorways on Dec. 13 via the Nike app before getting a wider launch on Jan. 25.
