Although the dad shoe trend may be finally cooling off, it remained pervasive throughout 2018. Balenciaga's Triple S hung on to its status as an Instagram favorite and spawned a track shoe version, while Kanye West's Adidas line formally introduced the Yeezy 500 after numerous teasers and a preorder. And though West is a noted fan of the fashion brand, having regularly been spotted in Demna Gvasalia's designs, an official collaboration does not yet exist between the two entities. But that didn't stop one company from completely combining both designs for a wildly unnecessary hybrid.

Footwear brand Jeffrey Campbell has combined what undeniably resembles the upper of the Yeezy 500 with the thick, three-tiered sole reminiscent of the Triple S. It's the sort of amalgamation one might expect to find on a customizer's feed, but certainly not from a legit retailer. Nevertheless, the Jeffrey Campbell "Hotline Dad" sneakers are available from Shopbop for the rather offensive price of $135.

A similar—but even more blatantly fake—Yeezy x Balenciaga Triple S sneaker surfaced earlier this year.

Representatives from Adidas, Yeezy, and Jeffrey Campbell have not yet responded to Sole Collector's request for a statement on the lookalike shoes.
