Twenty-five years ago, nine kids from Staten Island and its surrounding boroughs changed the landscape of music when they released their debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Since then, the Wu-Tang Clan has become a globally recognized collective, having found success in music, film, television, video games, fashion and footwear.
Influencers ahead of their time, Wu-Tang's co-sign of the crepe-soled Clarks Wallabee made the shoe a hip hop staple throughout the 90s, particularly following Raekwon and Ghostface Killah's debut solo albums. Now, as the Clan turns 25, Wu-Wear has teamed up with Clarks for an official trio of Wallos officially marked by the group's famous 'W' logo.
Crafted in collaboration with tannery Charles F. Stead, the model is delivered in bright yellow, maple and black premium colorways, each featuring debossed Wu-Wear logos on the heel and fob. ‘Enter the Wu-Tang’ is stamped into the left tongue, while “9 November 1993” adorns the right.
Priced at $190 each, the Wu-Wear x Clarks Wallabees will release on Black Friday, Nov. 23, 2018.
