Two years ago, Millad Mesriani was diagnosed with cancer. Confronting the challenge of his battle and recovery head on, Mesriani drew confidence from his personal style, including his Air Jordan sneakers.

"Sneakers and fashion became a way for me to escape the reality of cancer," said Mesriani in a post on Instagram.

Make-a-Wish, a non-profit organization that grants the wishes of young patients diagnosed with critical illnesses, helped Mesriani turn his dream of having his very own sneaker into reality. His wish was to design a pair of Air Jordans, which he was able to do with Jordan Brand's NRG design team. Mesriani created a pair Air Jordan 1 Highs in black and white leather, highlighted by metallic blue hits and sword debossing along the heels. The same sword appears in keychain form along with the Jumpman.

These will likely remain exclusive to Mesriani, but they'd certainly be easy to sell should Jordan Brand ever decide to mass produce.
