For Saturday night's home season opener featuring the Los Angeles Lakers against the Houston Rockets, LeBron James made his Staples Center debut rocking a special version of the latest Nike LeBron 16, donning the franchise's iconic purple and gold.

Dubbed "Court Purple," the sneaker released to select fans prior to the game via Footlocker's app-based interactive scavenger search known as "The Hunt," which allowed select fans to purchase the special edition "Purple Court" Nike LeBron 16.  Later that night, the sneaker released again via Nike Stash giving fans in attendance exclusive access to purchase the kicks on the SNKRS app.

James put up an impressive 24 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and a block with 38 minutes of action, but was ultimately overshadowed by the skirmish late in the fourth quarter between teammates Rajon Rondo and Brandon Ingram with Rocket's point guard Chris Paul.
